Final Cut Pro X Discovery – Emoji Characters In Final Cut Pro X Titles

Good Day!

A quick post just discussing something which I discovered whilst playing about with Final Cut Pro X (at 3:00am I should mention), with the Emojis that you have on your iPhone or iPad and using them in text in FCP X.

In Final Cut Pro, inside of the edit menu, you should see an option called “Special Characters”, right at the bottom. If you open that up, you’ll be greeted with the array of Emojis available to you. Now if you create a text layer in Final Cut Pro, delete the default text and click anyone of the emojis available, you’ll be able to see it on the viewer inside of Final Cut, as shown below!

Now by default the Emoji will be white, but a simple gradient from the face controls is an easy remedy to adding colour.

Nothing really ground breaking, but a quirky post none the less! Maybe we’ll start seeing more emojis in people’s Final Cut projects, if you like that sort of thing.

Thanks for reading!
